Two days in the hills surrounding Florence, bringing Indian wedding traditions and Italian hospitality together. From Mehndi and Sangeet to a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, each part of the celebration had its own place within a shared Tuscan experience.
Set in the Tuscan countryside, this destination wedding made room for the couple’s heritage and the pleasure of gathering in Italy. Family, friends and time together connected the two days, each with its own atmosphere.
Day one — Mehndi, Sangeet & an Italian welcome
The first day brought together Mehndi, Sangeet and a civil ceremony in the hills surrounding Florence. Indian wedding traditions shared the day with an informal Italian welcome: a pizza party, gelato and time for family and friends to gather.
The couple joined in to prepare pizza themselves, adding a personal, playful touch to the beginning of their two-day destination wedding in Tuscany.
Day two — Baraat & a traditional Hindu ceremony
The second day began with the Baraat procession before the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. The Varmala garland exchange and Saptapadi were among the rituals that shaped the celebration, bringing the couple’s heritage into the Tuscan countryside.
With family and friends around them, the ceremony connected meaningful traditions with the setting they had chosen in the Florence hills.
A gala dinner to bring everyone together
Following the ceremony, a gala dinner and evening reception brought everyone together around the table. Speeches, music and dancing closed two days of celebration, where Indian traditions and Italian hospitality each had their place.
